Questions:

  1. Read Ephesians 5:1-17 throughout the rest of this week. As an encouragement to family worship and personal preparation, use the questions that follow:
  2. This Sunday is The Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. While we will try to work through our passage as normal, the applications will be specific to the darkness that is abortion. Take some time to visit abort73.com ahead of Sunday. Peruse the site. Be broken, and brought to service with ears ready to hear from God's Word how our walk as Christians addresses this sin with hope in Christ.
  3. In 5:1-6, Who does Paul call us to imitate? Is that possible? How does he specify it? Does the specification make it sound any more possible? What should define our walk? Is divine love akin to that of the world? How does Paul further specify the look of love in 5:3-6? How might abortion be connected, in some part, with sexual immorality and covetousness or greed?
  4. In 5:7-12, what does Paul say we are now in the Lord? Does that come with a task? What's the task in 5:10-11? Are you able to expose abortion for what it really is?
  5. In 5:13-17, how does the text turn hopeful? What happens when light is shed upon darkness? How does our walk work in conjunction with our words to lead sinners, Lord willing, to Christ? What is the will of the Lord that we're to understand? Why must we? As it relates to defending the pre-born child's right to live, as well as extending charity to women and families thinking they have but one option, how can we make the best use of the time? How can we better lead those headed to murder and death to the Lord of life?
